When I had planned of my start in the past, my plans had always been pretty simple. I desired a big party and a small, simple start ceremony. I am never one to stand on ceremony. I figured that, if my bride-to-be agreed, a civil marriage start would suffice. Needless to say, we had rattling different ideas most what constitutes appropriate start ceremonies. As much as I desired to simplify everything down to the bare minimum, she desired to modify things.

The funny thing is that, in all the other aspects of our wedding, we had united on things. We hit had no problems picking discover a start chapel, a start reception location, or even thank you cards for the gifts that we were feat to receive. We are both artists, you see, and it helps that we hit the same aesthetic. It makes picking discover ceremony gowns, start centerpieces, and the same much easier. We didn't even need to hire a start planner – we knew what we desired things to look like. Nonetheless, when it came down to the actual start ceremony, we had no common ground. Our ideas were as different as night and day.

For my fiancé, the tralatitious start ring start was rattling important.  She was in this rattling difficult position of having to balance the needs of her family with her own needs. You see, her folks were rattling tralatitious Catholics. The power of paternal forgoing enabled them to pretend that she was still a practicing member of the faith, but we knew that they would become rattling upset if we didn't hit a start that was at least nominally Catholic. Nonetheless, she desired us to write our start vows. In short, we had to balance two rattling different things: a tralatitious start start and a modern mindset where we were able to make our own promises.  It wasn't easy.

In the end, we compromised on the start ceremony. I didn't same the public nature of start ceremonies, although I had no problem with the prospect of commitment. We decided, then, that we would speak the standard vows in the start service , and feature our own primary start vows in private. That way, it could be a more sincere, hint moment. I would feature that neither of us were quite bright with it, but no one was so annoyed with the results that it would ruin the day. All in all, it was a pretty good compromise.
